B-SIDE is a DIY space located within FARSIDE on James Street North. Our goal is to support the Hamilton arts community. We lean toward the weird & the wonderful.
B-SIDE is open 7 days a week, 6pm-2am. At this time our capacity is 30 people.
Who runs B•SIDE
Currently B-SIDE is being run by Rachel & Mike, who own and operate FARSIDE. Mike is an artist, and Rachel has a background in arts administration, organizing exhibitions and operating a music venue. B-SIDE is our passion project.
We do not charge rental fees, take commissions or take a door percentage from art or music shows. We are striving to do our best, but we had a baby recently and are a little sleep deprived, please be patient with us.
How can I utilize the space
We are booking out the space for 3 main uses: visual art, music, workshops. If you wish to utilize B-SIDE, you can fill out a proposal, in your area of interest, below. Please note that it is an unpolished DIY space and will require a bit of your elbow grease. B-SIDE is open to experienced and amateur organizers. The space is not available for pop-ups or sales.
Submitting your Proposal
Art & Workshop proposals are reviewed every 4 months.
Proposal deadlines in these categories are August 1 . November 1 . February 1 . May 1
Music proposals are reviewed at the beginning of every month.
Every proposal will receive a response once it is reviewed.
Fill out a google form in your area of interest.
